OK, I am officially CPR certified! lol

I made a 100 on the exam. :) whewwww

Now my last thing to do is get my physical, last HepB, and PPD....then turn in my application! :) yeahhhhhh!

Me too, I just received the CPR certificate in mail. My last HepB shot is in October.

Congrats! I got my card at the end of class. lol

Did you get trained on the AED? I did, but I wasn't expecting that. I guess when I was trained in CPR last, the AED wasn't available.

....epecially for purchase for home use! (around $1600.00) lol

Yes, I was trained on the AED. We watched the vedio on AED and the instructor demonstrated us on the dummies.

My friend was thinking get an AED for his dad, I guess he might think twice once he knows the price.

Well, if it saves his life, then it's worth the price. Paying for it is another story. :uhoh21:

I wouldn't mind having one around also....they just need to hurry up and lower the price!

Maybe he should. As we learned in the training, CPR just buys some time, the crucial step is to get early defibrilation...

Fun2Care, don't forget the official transcript. I requested it online and received in two days.

Thanks. I requested mine as well. I guess I need to check when I requested it b/c I don't have it yet.

I just finished a CPR instructor course and am certified to teach BLS for Health Care Providers as well as Heartsaver CPR. If anyone on this board teaches CPR, can you PLEASE tell me if you had to purchase any type of liability or any type of insurance to protect yourself. This has been so hard to find out. I plan on teaching CPR independently as I don't have an agency that I work for presently. I will teach from my home, at designated locations, schools, daycare providers homes, employers offices etc.
