cpr/health class

Hello, I need some help here.

I have to write a paper for my cpr/health class about a health issue and what the importance is of first aid with this issue. It seems like everyone is writing about heart disease and I would like to find something a little different to write about. Anyone have any ideas?

Diabetes or epilepsy? Those are two disorders that can affect people when they are out in public and require first aid if someone goes into diabetic shock or has a seizure.

Something that doesn't get discussed a lot but does happen more than most might care to talk about is accidental/suicidal overdosing.... This is a sensitive area, but with higher percentages of depression, especially among the young, this can be a very beneficial topic. Also, people get carried away with antidepressants thinking more is better. Prescription addiction is a upcoming topic as well...

I know that you are looking for "health issues." So depending on how you or your instructors view depression, as an illness or not, this can apply to that area or reasoning.
