CPNRE Sept 14, 2011

Published

I am looking for students who will be graduating this summer and writing in Sept, 2011.

I live north of Toronto, but can participate online in a group or would like to join study groups who are also preparing to write in Sept.

Thanks BlueBow,congratulation too and to all CPNRE passers for the last Sept.2011.

For NRSIIIIZ,I like the fighting spirit that you have and wishing you and to all who will going to take the next CPNRE all the best.Go,fight, win, guys!

Hey friend, keep in mind the next exam is apparently 4 hours long only and the same bank of questions...something to consider.

I have an opportunity to take a refresher for PNs in Hamilton, which is like 5 hrs from my house and somewhat "guaranteed" a pass... depending on your previous results, this course is specifically geared on results from unsuccessful attempt.

I got 140 so I am in same boat as you ... but not giving up, I still have 2 attempts to pass, and yeah it is $$$ but I didn't spend 2.5 yrs on my orifice gaining 60 lbs for nothing!! ;)

You are soooooo right! Don't ever give up! Good luck to you and I wish you all the best!:)

I got my pass in the mail, but im dieing to know how much i passed by,,can i get my results like % i passed by? im really curious...

Failed in Ottawa and not rewriting. The embarrassment of rewriting is more than I can handle. An A student fails the nursing exam. A shame to waste all that time and money to learn absolutely nothing. Mark was 139, pass mark was 143. 139/252= 55%

my preceptor failed 2 times before passing on her 3rd, and after working 10 years as a nurse ive never learned so much from a person! i agree with the person in 5 years will it matter how many times you wrote? I really hope you will reconsider writing! this doesnt reflect you abilities in anyway i know its not much from a stranger but hope you see it as words of encouragement from a person who failed patho and thought the world was over!

The only people who are told their scores are those who fail. And then it's usually only the ones who were "close".

BOO, think if i write to them they might tell me?? just wondering where i stand i guess!? wonder if locking myself away from the world for 2 year and 3 months paid off and for excatly how muchlol ...okay dramatic i know but would be cool to know...

dont give up i know how your feeling I was unsucessful the first time I wrote. I give you more credit and commend you for telling people. I got depressed and didnt tell anybody for the first week but when I finally got the courage I got so much support and encouragemet it made me more determined to get right back up and try again. I rewrote this sept 14 and what a great feeling to see that thin white envelope in the mail only to find a registration for general class and a letter that stated I could not call myself a RPN until I was registered. Nothing in the letter states I passed so after a call to the CNO all I was told was they would resend my results but couldnt tell me anything on the phone. So again I wait not knowing if I passed or failed. So keep your chin up, we r going to do it and do it well. Those two years are not going to be for nothing. It may take us a bit longer to finish the race but in the end we are all going to get there

Let's apply a little critical thinking to this. Would CNO send you an application for general class registration if you failed? Did you get one of those last time, when you did fail? What did your letter say last time? Somewhere in your letter from this round there might be a reference to "successful" or "pleased to inform" or some other clue. There are many ways to say you passed without using the words "you passed". Reading comprehension is really important in nursing so you should be able to read between the lines. When you start reading charts you're going to find a LOT of reports that don't use plain language. Reread your letter out loud slowly. Read it out loud as many times as you need to for you to understand exactly what it says. And then believe it.

I was on a temp and it was revoked and when I failed I got a letter saying how much i failed by and papers to reapply for the next exam. and no the letter just says nothing about pass or anything so I am gonna take it as a pass

There you go! If you didn't fail, what else is there?? Congratulations! Now fill out that application, write CNO a fat cheque and get it to the post office before today's pickup!

the letter states that my temp was not current as of july 2011 because it was revoked when I failed in May. It only says I must apply for general class and the app stating the cost so I guess your right why would they tell me I have to apply for general class if I didnt pass. I guess I was just waiting for a letter that said I passed. When I called CNO the lady said I wasnt the only one that this has happened to and she dont know how this happened nor could she tell me my results. The words pass, successful or congradulations is no where in the letter. All my classmates have the same letter but I dont have the first 2 lines nor the paper that says pass. So I am going to quit worrying myself take it as a pass and send in the registration and my money and take it from there

thanks for the reality check
