CPNRE Sept 14, 2011

Published

I am looking for students who will be graduating this summer and writing in Sept, 2011.

I live north of Toronto, but can participate online in a group or would like to join study groups who are also preparing to write in Sept.

The total exam questions are 127(1st set that I take)+128(2nd set)=255,if they say you need to have 143 out of 252 to pass, meaning they only have 3 experimental question that is not counted?

By the way I got the letter now and successfully completed(passed, thanks God for another accomplishment) the CPNRE .I took the exam in Toronto.

Failed in Ottawa and not rewriting. The embarassment of rewriting is more than I can handle. An A student fails the nursing exam. A shame to waste all that time and money to learn absolutely nothing. Mark was 139, pass mark was 143. 139/252= 55%

Hi I would reconsider you decision...I can only imagine the disappointment you are facing. I think you have ovbiously worked hard and need to focus on finishing what you started, in 5 years from now will it matter that you had to do the rewrite? I think you need a few days to mourn the loss and maybe have a night out then get back on the horse and continue!!! I have no friends who were unsuccessful but if I did I would offer the same encouragement! The "fail" letter dose not reflect your nursing abilities...keep focused be strong! My exam was not out of 252 but 260...I think the pass was 64% meaning at least 20 questions were test questions..

I agree with mam2kids. Don't give up on your dreams. A day of examination alone cannot gauge your abilities. No one becomes an A student learning nothing. No one.

Sure, failing this exam can be devastating, but don't let this bring you down completely. It is not winning the race that is most important. What matters most is how you still manage to rise from a fall, dust your clothes and continue running to the finish line.

Congratulations to you!

I got the same number of questions as you did. Guess there were different sets of questions as others had a total of 252, 254, or 256.

Tfan29, i agree with mam2kids and bluebow. Don't give up! If you are embarrass to be seen rewriting, why not write at a different location. Besides, your classmates will definitely find out who passed and who didn't. We all know they will punch in our names in the "find a nurse" page on the CNO website if they are interested to find out how we did. And who cares about them anyway, do what you're supposed to do for yourself, because they won't pay your rent/mortgage and they won't buy you food. So who cares about them!

Keep your chin up! Goodluck and Gob bless...

i just phoned CLPNBC and they said they just mail the result last friday. and they dont want to answer any questions regarding the result.. my name is still on the public registry, does it mean i passed?? anybody?

A friend and classmate received hers (pass) but mine was not in mail...the waiting continues. When I checked CLPNBC website for my registration it is still there, another classmates is not...

hi, if your name is still on the LPN public registry, does it mean that you passed? i havent received any mails yet but my name is still there as well. Giving me hope. :uhoh3:

Pass!! I think I might cry a few tears. Now I could truly celebrate finishing my program. Goodluck to everyone else waiting! *dances*

I just received my results today (pass) in Vic BC. The registry is updated weekly, if your name is still on that is a good sign. My name was still on the registry Sunday night but a classmates was not they received their results yesterday, fail.

Hey friend, keep in mind the next exam is apparently 4 hours long only and the same bank of questions...something to consider.

I have an opportunity to take a refresher for PNs in Hamilton, which is like 5 hrs from my house and somewhat "guaranteed" a pass... depending on your previous results, this course is specifically geared on results from unsuccessful attempt.

I got 140 so I am in same boat as you ... but not giving up, I still have 2 attempts to pass, and yeah it is $$$ but I didn't spend 2.5 yrs on my orifice gaining 60 lbs for nothing!! ;)

Another Pass from BC!
