Apparently they gauge the difficulty of the questions they use. If they use easy ones, they set a higher passing rate.

Hi guys,
I only have a few days to study for my exam. What would you guys recommend studying from? Are prep guides 3, 4 and 5 okay to rely on? Thank you and best of luck to all of you!!

Hi @Meesha MMost people in net are suggesting fro Prep Guide 3,4 &5. Mosby's Canadian PN book and CPNRE Comprehensive Review Book from nursed.ca.
@JJR Mine is also in couple of day now. I am also very overwhelmed and nervous.
@AmeDo We just have to believe in ourselves when we write the exam! I really hope it's like the prep guides ? I find the Mosby's questions harder
Mr. Jacobson, 75 years old, had a right cerebrovascular accident. In what position should the practical nurse place Mr. Jacobson’s chair prior to transferring him?
a. Parallel to and at the head of the bed on the right side.
b. Parallel to and at the head of the bed on the left side.
c. On the right side of the bed, facing Mr. Jacobson.
d. On the left side of the bed, facing Mr. Jacobson.
its a practice question and I answered B but in guide answer is A why?
Pt should be transfer from unaffected side, right...
Can someone explain?
@AmeDo Hey, the answer would be A because the stroke side is always the strong side. If you were to put it on the patient's right side and towards the head of the bed - the patient can use her strong side and slide to the wheelchair (she could use her strong right leg and slide easily into the wheelchair). I hope that helps
Oh Okay, with a right-sided cerebrovascular accident the Pt would have left-sided weakness. thanks @Meesha M
Any updates guys?
