CPNRE November- December 2019

Published

Hello.

Just creating this thread for those who have written the CPNRE in Ontario for Nov. and Dec. I personally wrote on the 20th of Nov.

Anyone looking to do the Personvue "trick" to find out if they passed... DO NOT DO IT. I wrote for the first time in September and those who did the trick only delayed their results by at least a week. It only works for NCLEX writers.

Please use this thread for general questions about result times ect. I was apart of a thread in September and it was super useful.

Thanks all! Good Luck to us all!

Everyone needs to register with the CNO before Dec 31st. Its a $305 fee and they ask a few questions. The whole process takes about 20 minutes. If you do not pay by that time a late fee of $114 is applied.

I thought if we pay this year it expires on Jec 31st 2019, so I am planning to wait till jan 1st 2020 to register. what is the 114 for ? im confused now.

I spoke with a representative on the phone, and they told me to register after December 31st, or I will have to pay for the fee again.

k thanks. thats what I thought cuz a friend of mine called as well and she said the rep told to register after the 31st.

@Sher if you haven’t registered before DO NOT register until January..if you pay now you it is only good until the 31st and then you have to pay for the renewal. So basically you are paying twice. The 114 late fee is for nurses already registered and have to pay Renewal by the 31st. If they do not pay by that date they are charged a late fee..

I used to remember when it was my turn to take this exam. Lots of practice questions and most importantly take the predictor tests ... but use this to analyze the questions and answers not to evaluate yourself whether you will pass or not on the actual. Make notes from it. The questions are almost similar with the actual exam. I do not really suggest the NCLEX PN questions review because it is structured differently on CPRNE but it will level up on any knowledge gaps you have. I am now waiting for my NCLEX RN results.

Goodluck to all future test takers

Hey guys did anyone try registering with CNO for this year ( 2020) as a new member ? When I went tru the application on the final payment step It shows "RPN Initial annual fee - General Class 2019 ". Im wondering if it applies for 2019 or 2020.

Hi Sher,

I paid yesterday and payment was successful, got my registration confirmation immediately.

Log in to your account and click on "my application"

Scroll down and click on the pay for registration link under your application

Agree to terms and make payment

OR

Log in, call CNO customer support and make payment over phone.

@STACEY

Thank you for your information. I really do not understand what do you meant. And they will never send you an 'email' with those mentioned details. Now the only way to find out your 'performance level' is to go to cno login and yo can print or download the details. it is not telling you 'how exactly yo need to pass', but you can imagine that from the scores you obtained. there were no tester questions for the exam, they were actual 'serious question'. Have you done it recently? or you are going to do it? mY FRIEND PASSED FOR 101 marks, so ireally dont understand your point here. Can you please explain your understanding? I would be grateful. I felt like initially the exam was easy then it became harder and easy again..Idk if I will pass or not. I had a lot of questions from ortho / fracture/ traction etc. I did review mosby , saunders and all prepguides.

The exam contains 165 marked questions and 5 unmarked questions for future tests. I wrote mine Oct 2019 and it literally says that on the instructions before you begin and on all the cno/cpnre materials.. Please everyone read. Very. Carefully.

This issue was already clarified and it was a misunderstanding. It’s been a month now. So all good. Thank you

hi everyone!! will be taking my cpnre exam on the 31st..i just did my predictor test today but i only got 64.71% score and 55-60% probability of passing.. my materials for review are only prep guide 3-5..thats it..do you guys know of any materials to use.? im very anxious now..

Hi @gari_rn,

Just focus on the areas you did not do well in. For example, critical thinking, knowledge/application, etc. The prep guides are great a resource, to help you understand how questions may be asked. I would use Saunders for review as well.
