CPNRE JANUARY 2011 TEST TAKER/s

World Canada CRNE

Published

Hi AllNurses :nurse:. I will be writing the CPNRE on January 2011. My study materials are:

-Mosby's Canadian Comprehensive Review of Nursing 2nd Edition and

-The Canadian PN Exam Prep Guide 3rd Edition.

To all test takers for January 2011 (hoping that I am not the only one here), please join and we'll support each other to stay on track and keep on going. To all other members who passed the exam or knowledgeable about the CPNRE, please give some inputs. Badly needed. Thank you.

A prayer to all of us, "Lord God, our Saviour, we are asking for your guidance for the upcoming CPNRE. Help us to comprehend what we are studying and give us wisdom to pass the exam. Please Lord. In Jesus Name, Amen".

Will always keep you posted :)

I hope we all passed. it was the hardest exam ever. ;(

BREATHE.

You lot are no more stressed than any previous exam's writers. Everyone I knew thought they failed it. In over a decade of nursing, I've met one nurse who failed the exam.

If you the exam is difficult, what will happen on your first day all alone on the floor?

Now go have a stiff drink, chocolate, hot bath, whatever relaxes you.

OKAYYY... so this will be our FOURTH week waiting for the results... so that must mean one more week left since a lot of past cpnre writers said that they waited about a couple days off from 5 weeks. I'm getting even more freaked out! Do you guys think that there's a good chance of us receiving the results this week at all even if most people have said otherwise? Because this waiting game is absolutely killing me!

Please update once those results start trickling in!

Winterspice, I really hope so. I am very stressed out playing the waiting game. I talked to some students that wrote last Jan, they said they received their results mid Feb. I hope it will be soon. The suspense is killing me.

I think there is a good chance we will get our results LATE this week...like, Thursday or Friday. Otherwise, I'm betting we will get them early to mid next week.

Like you, the suspense is killing me! And what's worse, I have a possible job, but they want to know my results. :( Ugh. Why can't they do these exams like the NCLEX, and have them done on the computer so the results are known within a week of writing?? :(

I feel it should be set up that we can get results within a week. It would save us from alot of stress. I am keeping my fingers crossed for everyone that wrote.

And since the results will be arriving from Ontario (right??) that must mean it'll take even longer for the western provinces to receive theirs. On top of that, once you pass, you still have to wait to register as that take some time too. Ugh I think they enjoy torturing us... 5 weeks is unreal.

I just wish they had a faster process to this whole thing. I think the long wait is unfair. You think with the modern technology that they would of developed a faster way to receive results. Look at what CRA did over the years so taxes could be done much faster.

^ geez ..you guys should just stop thinking about it. lol.

I agree, this waiting sucks. Especially when it means we can't work. :( I seriously need to start working, and the not knowing if I should be looking for non-rpn jobs or not sucks. I mean, if I failed, I will try to work as a psw til I pass...and I will also know not to accept any interviews for rpn jobs!

Like Nikkismom, I'm crossing my fingers for all of us that wrote! Here's hoping we all get passing results in the mail THIS week, or early next!!

What do you mean you "can't work"?

I worked on my interim permit at NA rates, took in my "Pass" Certificate, got retro wages and it was done.

My health authority hires new grads when they have vacancies, as do the LTC's in the capital region.

I work presently, as a PSW in LTC. There are so many PSW's that i am not getting enough hours to get by on. I am hoping I get pass results in soon there are more hours for nurses. I have tried looking for PSW jobs in my area nothing is hiring right now. I want to apply for temp permit but still waiting on some paperwork required to do so. I also found out I have to have surgery in two weeks, which means no work for at least a week.
