Hey all,

Has anyone used the cpne video? If you did use the video did you find it useful for the actual CPNE?

Thanks

It certainly didn't go into all the various patient situation scenarios we would be likely to encounter, but did give a few examples, and also went through the lab stations.

I found it useful in that it gave me a "feel" for it all... I was more able to imagineg what it would be like, and prepared me for the experience, so it wouldn't be so "new" and overwhelming.

Yes, I watched it time and again before I went... was glad I did. :)

Thanks for the input. I wonder how often the video's are updated? Would it be totally impractical to purchase a used version?

Mona,

I'm using a used version right now (2002). I'm not sure if there's a newer one, but the only outdated thing I have found on it is "General Survey" as a critical element. If you buy it used, make sure you get it with the workbook- it's very helpful. I'm not so sure the video would be much of a help to me without it. What the video is doing for me is everything Jnette said, plus it's helping me to sort out how I want to do things, and in what order- if that makes sense. It also helps you to do those AOCs assigned in a natural way- not like checking off a list. It's cheesy, but it is helpful.
