Hi!!! Thank you thank you!!! That was a long hard journey! Proud to say I’m an RN now ?. My biggest tip is do not I repeat do not go if you’re not ready...this isn’t something you can just “wing”. You’re doing right by practicing your labs first...once you get those down pact move on to your AOC, after that hone in on your documentation. The instructors like to see that you know your stuff...be confident when you get there. Mnemonics saved my life when I was there...if they work for you, use them. Make sure you set up a mock med station and mock patient. Try to make your practicing as real as possible...print out all the sample documentation and use it when you’re practicing so you can be familiar with it Day of ie. MAR, care plan, Fluid management flow sheet...trust me, it helps!!! Also schedule faculty calls!!! Just review what you’re doing with them...review documentation , careplans...that was a huge help too!!! Work hard, be confident, and trust yourself. Hope this helps ❤️

Thank you! I have made a patient and ordered the practice kit from Excelsior. I haven't started on the meds section yet, but I have the equipment to set a station. I have a few mnemonics, if you don't mind could you share yours, I would like to compare and see if I'm missing anything.
Congratulations!! I hope all is well with you. I'm forging ahead thru ec, I took another exam today got a C on ls 2, not what I wanted but hey its passing right? Do you mind sharing your job experience since you became an rn? Like what type of facility you're working in and did you have any difficulties getting a job since your an ec graduate? I've heard some employers have an issue with ec being independent study and no clinicals. I guess some can't grasp the concept of how ec works.

Hi! Yes! C’s get degrees ?...don’t be discouraged, those test are challenging!! Push forth! To be completely honest, I’ve only applied to 1 other job ...I was fortunate to be able to obtain an RN position at the job I was working at as an LPN...so that transition wasn’t hard. As far as the other I’m still waiting to hear back. I’m going to wait about a month before applying to different places including hospitals, also I’ve only been licensed about a month anyway so I may not be the best candidate to ask...this prob doesn’t help at all, lol, just wanted to respond...good luck in your studies!
