how is everyone getting ready for cpne, i have been reading some of the journals on the discussion board? there's quite a few of us on the "cpne club" how are you studying for it? anyone doing a workshop?

I took the Chancellor's Care Plan Lab and found it to be very enlightening. Now granted, I am taking the CPNE in November, but the hands on experience, grid planning, care plan experience seem to be invaluable. We'll know for sure when I take the CPNE!

:yeah::yeah: Hi Patricia,:yeah::yeah: I told you about this site, very helpful and the people on here are wonderful. I failed the cpne this past August, but it was nerves I guess. My wound, I passed my first pcs butthe lab got me. Anyway I am retaking it October 7-9 in Utica again. I was scheduled for Albany but there was a cancellation, so Evelyn from NPAC called me. She knew I wanted to go back to Utica. I hope everything is going well for you!!!:) Oh so the others know Patricia and I went to Chancellors the same week, the other student did pass. She started studying after she went to the carelab and passed, first try:)

Specializes in LTC.

I'm testing in November too and need to get busy..is there a waitlist for Chancellor's?

have my "patient" i made, using Rob's. want to go to sheri's if money allows for the travel, i really want a hands on experience before the real deal, am a new lpn graduated in 2010. I knew going in i may be at a disadvantage because of my inexperience but am going for it any how. I'm not cpne eligle yet, have to do ls3 and fcca but with my limited experience thought that practicing at least 2x a week with Rob this past year couldn't hurt. I have a piggyback but my big bag got thrown away when i moved, trying to get my sister's old pole and bags she had to have home iv for hyperemisis gravidarum when she was pregnant but have to dig in a massive closet to find it but will do it so i don't have to buy one. have some saline syringes alcohol preps, abd pads etc. got 1 insuline syringe, need some other supplies and still didn't make a wound. I think i am more worried about iv situations seeing as though we don't get much iv exp. in ct unless your job sends you to be certified, but i picked that iv nurses brain and sat and watched her like a hawk everytime she came to my see my sister. she actually took the time to teach me, really nice lady.
