Just wondered if anyone had a list or knows where i can find a list of all the testing sites in the US? Just curious (i'm no where NEAR) testing, but since hubby's in the army and we get moved around a bit, i'd like to figure out which places are closests to the two differnt bases we are most likely to get stationed at next. i know ive heard people talk about mansfield, ohio...my family lives in dayton ohio so if worse comes to worse i will just go home for a visit...

If you go to http://www.excelsior.edu/cpne, then click on "Regional Performance Assessment Centers (RPACs)" -- it'll probably require you to log into the site at that point, but then it'll take you to a page with the three RPACs. Each RPAC has a page that lists the locations of the CPNE test sites. There are currently sites in NY, PA (new), TX, WI, OH, and GA.

I tested at Mansfield. It rocked. :)

if you are in ft hood then your closest site is in plano texas ... just north of dallas texas... that is where i will be testing...

The Georgia sites (SPAC) are the slowest to get people testing. The NPAC (New York sites) are the fastest with some people getting dates 4-6 months after applying, according to what I'm seeing. MPAC is somewhere in the middle with dates 7-9 months out.

I live in Texas, near Ft Hood, but went to Racine Wis. Short wait, heard good things and "surenuff" as we say down here...it was an awesome site. Many coworkers of mine ended up in Racine and all passed and of course loved it. Small Hospital, small town and great people and staff. Funny thing is that Plano Texas has been doing this for a long time but lots of Texans end up in other places. Two girls I work with failed in Plano, not once but twice, then they went to Racine and passed. You will always hear stories about different places but they all are fair if you do your part. Best of luck. Pick a spot and practice, practice, practice. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. It it the best feeling for which I cannot explain, when you get on that aircraft headed back to Texas, knowing you are a GN and ordering all the drinks in the airplane!!!:chuckle

LOL @ ordering all the drinks on the plane! Well once i get settled in Ohio i will have 10 months to complete all my exams before my husband returns from his deployment, so i'll just make sure i save my money in case i want to go somewhere not so close to home to take the CPNE! thanks for all the info you all!
