Has anyone tested here? Just curious on testing experiences here.
@leegirl. My letter and response from excelsior was exactly the same as Bgriffin32. My advice to anyone taking the CPNE. KNOW YOUR CAREPLANS INSIDE AND OUT! This is what most people are failing on. 5 of us tested in Alice and all 5 failed the first patient because of careplans and 2 went home because of them. It's not enough to know how to write them but you have to be able to pick one with very little information. On my first patient, I did not get much of a report from CE and I did not get access to the medical record in the computer. If this happens....ask, ask, ask questions. This is your CPNE and you should not stop asking questions until you are satisfied and confident that you can easily pick out a nursing diagnosis based on this little information.
@bgriffin32 ok thank you so much for the information! I will ask my employer to write the letter then once I feel ready I will submit it to them. I want to do a workshop most likely next Month and work on care planning prior to giving the letter! Again thanks a million and hopefully you get your date soon!
@bgriffin32, That is correct and had I not passed my next 3 I would have appealed. But honestly, I knew that arguing with them does no good at all. (at least at my site). I did argue my care plan choice but to no avail. I guess I just figured it was my fault for not being assertive and hunting my CE down and asking her.
@kaylynn1987, I have posted my experience on this topic in previous page, is there something else you would like to know? If so, my email is [email protected]

@Leegirl I attached it in message center attn Jennifer Cole who is over the assigning of the test dates. She replied when she got it basically her reply will state this is a one time exception and if you are unsuccessful with the CPNE they will not make the exception again, which I can understand.
