CPCC Fall 2015

Published

Hi! I'm applying for CPCC Fall 2015 in December and was wondering if there was anyone else? I'd be great to compare stats and status.

I'll start out. I'm a 32 yr old, mom of two, going back to school after 15 years. I started my pre-reqs over the summer semester of 2014. So far I've completed:

General Chemistry I

English 111

English 114

College Algebra

General Psychology

Anatomy and Physiology I (in progress)

Nurse Aide I course (in progress)

Spring 2015:

Anatomy and Physiology II

Microbiology

Humanities I

Sociology

Yoga (gotta have balance)

As far as the TEAS goes, I've only taken the practice test online and have a 93% in math, 83% in reading, 80% english, and a 45% (!!!) in science. I have a lot of studying to do before I take it on December 4th. I'm quite surprised with my scores, as I read a lot (a few books a week) and hate math. haha. I'm hoping a good breakfast and some studying will get me to the over all scores I need.

Once I have my NAI certification (hoping to test mid December) I'll be able to turn in my application.

I wonder, does anyone have any tips on how to make my application stand out? I would love to hand deliver it, or something of the like, just so they could put a face to a name. I am very driven and completely ready for the challenge of nursing school but I just don't know how to convey that on an application.

Well... we got less information than I was anticipating. I was hoping there would be more info on costs and schedules related to the program. Maybe even an overview of what we can expect our first week of class. Oh well...

I was hoping for a more detailed and exact schedule, specifically for Nur 212 in Oct. It looks like some weeks in Nur 212 are only 2 days a week. I just wish it was more of a set in stone schedule as I have to try to juggle a full time job as well. Oh well..
