Just curious. Here in DFW I see hospitalizations are rising to 14%. How are things in the hospitals? Are things relatively normal? No more furloughs?
Please share. I am not in acute care, but I am of course very interested in the effects on acute care staff.
They aren't even putting up our numbers any longer. At work I still mask when around the participant areas of the floor, but not in my office. Since we are in the clinic building also required in the elevator. The clinic DON says they are going to keep requiring it in the clinic because it has really cut employee sick time down. The rest of the university has no requirement unless the individual chooses to wear one. I would say about 20% do still wear a mask.
Everywhere else in town there are no requirements (vet, dentist etc.) and haven't been for some time. I haven't worn one anywhere except work in about ?6 months or longer.
Thanks for the update Wuzzie.

Current situation:
24 confirmed cases systemwide
24 PUIs
10 in ICU
12 ventilated (includes long-term patients who are now trached)
State statistics for 3/10/317
Expect new state numbers today for last week as they are no longer reporting daily. General mask mandates lifted. We continue to mask in public areas but can remove masks in offices, conference and break rooms. Anticipating masking with direct patient care for the foreseeable future.
