Has anyone attended this LVN program? I am planning to apply for the spring semester. I currently live in the bay area so I don't know the Palm Springs/ San Bernadino area at all, so I am trying to get more information about the school and the area if anyone has attended? Thanks :)

So how is the application process going? I just called and left a message to make an appt. with an advisor to get mine going for the LVN program as well as the RN -
Let me know what you think.....
I am sending out my application this month. Do you live in the area? I live in the bay area and am a little bit nervous about moving to the desert if I get in, but I will do it to finish school sooner :) Their LVN program is only 11 months compared with the 18 months at most schools.
Nice, good luck. No I live in Sth Oceanside, and my inlaws live in the Copper Mountain School area so I would stay with them. That is a plus that they run only 11 mth of the program. Nice. Sorry you would have to leave the bay area....my Super Great Friend lives in SF....by Golden Gate Park. :) I am sending mine off as well .... So our applications are in my prayers... :)
So do you know if their is a wait list for their nursing programs?? I read the info, and was wondering if you had found out on a wait list when or if you called???
PS... the Area is nice - like all cities there are not so areas that one might want to live..... (look into the palm springs area or in the la quinta area) There are some really nice places with apts. Lots retired people
When I called them they said that there was never a waitlist, so either that means there are not a lot of people that apply, or they just don't keep the applications on file. I am really hoping to get in. I am sure there are some nice areas closeby. I think Joshua Tree National Park is there, and I have been to Palm Springs, which is not too far. Also, LA and San Diego are all within a 2-3 hr drive, so that's nice too. Well I hope we both get in! :)
Hello,
So any word on getting in? I dropped my package off the very last day, with all the other application dates at other schools, I am glad I double checked CM, otherwise I would have missed the deadline. Now I am praying everyone who applied gets in- my only catcher is I did not have the pharm. which in the application details that one can take during the first semester of the program. So I am crossing my fingers checking email everyday. Let me know if you get in, hope we both get choosen. :)

Good Luck to you both!!! I attended College of the Desert*for*nursing*school*and the Copper Moutain Campus to take care of pre requisites. My dh and I lived in 29 Palms for almost four years. 75 miles one way to nursing school each day. You all beat me if you are moving to the area to attend the school. :)
I graduated from their RN program wayyy back in 93. *It is neat to see someone mentioning my alma mater.

Good to hear from a graduate of these schools, I am also going to apply for Copper Mountains RN program. I am just so ready for nursing school....at this point, I just want to be done and moving up. Not that I don't love my job-learning research.
I am just scared since the nursing programs are so impacted that there is going to be more qualified applicants then spots. Its one of the most different school experience ever out here in CA. I mean I have been looking at other BS degrees, if I decide not to hang in there and wait for nursing, and the ones I am interested in are also impacted. I mean come on If California schools are so great, why can't their be more room-I know Temecula just got the OK to open a cc college that caters to bio sciences and nursing program but thats still 2 years out. Oh well patience is a virtue.:)
I got accepted! I am moving at the end of the month. Did you hear from them? I am looking this coming weekend at places down there. Excited!
Awsome, I got accepted for the next summer, I pretty sure I was the last one to turn in the application...last day, at 2pm....
I was invitedt to see if anyone did not show and take their place...along with another applicant. I was not ready to start this summer, because I wanted to apply to the RN program as well, now I am I have 2 pre-reqs in progress and I am rolling/sending out my application.. Wish me luck & Tell me how its going hope the desert heat is not to harsh on you!
