Conversions

Published

Hi everyone... I have a pretty stupid question... does anyone have any tricks to remembering common med conversions? I keep getting them confused for some reason and I want to make sure I get it down before the big test!!! Thanks!

I know it's a whole year later, but I would like to know too. Also, does anyone know where I can find a list of conversions to memorize that are most specific to health care?

Thanks in advanced :)

I did find this from https://allnurses.com/nclex-discussion-forum/best-study-guide-418274.html

1 lb = 16 oz 1 T = 3 tsp = 15 mL

1c = 8 oz = 240 mL 1 t = 5 mL 1 lb = 454 g = 16 oz

2 c = 1 pt = 16 oz 1 oz = 30 mL= 8 drams 1 mg = 1000 mcg

2 pt = 1 qt= 32 oz 1 g = 15 gr

4 qt =1 gal=128 oz 1 gr = 60 mg

As for the big test, don't think I remember seeing anything about conversions.
