contra costa college

Is anyone waiting to hear back from nursing department with lotto results? I was told it would take place end of march. this is my 4th time applying to their program at CCC.

I started looking over things a couple months ahead of time but I only really got into the material about three weeks in advance, and then I studied like for finals. My main tips are to buy the practice exams from the PSI website and buy the TEAS mastery app for like $10. Otherwise I don't think review materials are as useful as Khan academy videos and your A&P notes.

Thank you for sharing :)

@ocean43 hey, I remember you told me you were once placed as #19 on the alt list at ccc. Was that when you took the teas? I'm now #19 on the list bc they had to take out 5 students from it due to teas results. Did they ever call you about getting in the program or never?

Hi. No I never got the call :( I haven't had luck

Not even to take the teas?? Btw, when are you retaking your teas?

No because their remediation students from year prior passed their exam no space

Taking it in spring when are you taking yours ?

Ahh! Makes sense! I take mine on June 2nd. I hope I pass and get in at ccc.

@sydneyT12 I talked to Rita yesterday about the teas and had the opportunity to ask her about the space. She told me that there were 8 people removed from alt list, so that brings me down to #16 and that last year, they went up to alt list #29. Didn't ask for the reason but it's either because of teas or people rejected their acceptance. What number are you?

@kbear09 I'm not entirely sure how it works, but when we first got the results I was #40. So does that mean I'm #4 on the alt list now? Since 40-28=12 Then because 8 people were removed I go down to 4 right?

@sydneyT12 yes, but call them to make sure. How I asked her was "I just want to know if the alt list went down"

It's really unknown. you have to contact the director because there are remediation students from last year as well who will be accommodated if passed TEAS.
