Is anyone waiting to hear back from nursing department with lotto results? I was told it would take place end of march. this is my 4th time applying to their program at CCC.

usually they schedule from end of april into may unless they changed their procedures. call this number 510-215-4103

I'm confused. I'm alt #24 but I received a letter today saying I am invited to take the teas (those who are selected and those who are in alternate list) I'm way down the list but why am I invited to take this

In case they go down to your # if others don't pass teas or reject admission. is this your first time taking teas ?

Okay. Yeah this is my first time. But let's say I do pass but don't go down my number, it doesn't mean I will get in next fall right?

No it doesn't. you would have to apply again next year.

Okay. I guess the only good thing about this is, is that it's free and if I do pass, I can use the result to the other program I go into.

Thanks for the info, guys- I am #1 on the wait list so fingers crossed I have a good shot of actually getting in! I just wish I didn't have to keep waiting to know for sure. I already took the TEAS because some other programs I applied to required me to submit my score with my application, so at least that hurdle is over.

I will say, take the TEAS very seriously because many programs will only accept your first score, so taking it at CCC will affect your chances at other schools who use it as part of their admissions criteria.

Yes I agree. CC in particular only accepts the 1st score. If someone gets accepted and does not pass the test they will be placed on remediation for one year.
