Martha Kuhl, RN, Childrens Hospital RN and CNA/NNOC Treasurer.addresses reporters at a press conference March 2 hosted by CNA/NNOC and Consumer Watchdog announcing a consumer suit against Anthem Blue Cross for violating state law in predatory pricing practices.
"There is nothing worse as a nurse than seeing a parent facing a child with a deadly disease being denied care, and having to scramble to get care for their child," Kuhl said.
"Today's lawsuit is just the beginning of what is going to have to be much more profound change in healthcare in California," said Consumer Watchdog founder Harvey Rosenfield, calling California's consumer protection laws "some of the worst in the nation."

I admire those nurses in California, if only the rest of the countries nurses would get on board.

Amen to that, speaking as a CNA member and a parent of a child with a deadly disease -the last thing you need/want to do when your child is sick, is fight with your insurance company. I would violate the TOS if I told AN what I really thought of this despicable corporation.
Feel free to tell me in a PM. I love reading unfiltered truth about insurance companies.

Of course Anthem must raise their premiums in order to insure a profit margin after they pay dozens of executives multi-million dollar compensation packages.

I think this is great move, why not ask the legislators to regulate health insurance to stop this practice, many states have already completed this.
