Considering WGU RN to BSN program

I'm considering RN to BSN program. I am a Diploma School RN (1980) .

Unfortunately I have to (re ) take A & P I and II , Microbiology and Biochemistry as the courses did not transfer . Has anyone taken these courses through WGU? I want to get my BSN but the thought of doing these courses over is discouraging me. Advice is much appreciated !!

Taking these courses through is not like taking them at a traditional college or university. Rather, WGU's science coursework is self-paced with a lower level of difficulty.

I completed the biochemistry course in three weeks, whereas others completed it in a week or less.

I did biochem, micro and physiology (the latter is now called a&P II, I believe). They are NOT difficult, especially micro. You do have to do a lab for micro and anatomy - they are big kits they send out with all the stuff you need including gloves, gowns, etc. No extra charge on that! :) I did the classes in about a week each, including the lab. So don't stress on those classes - the labs are a little tedious but are mostly observation.

Eta: it had been 25 years since I took micro and I still found the exam easy - very 'situation' based. I am not sure if a/p 2 now has an exam or not -when I did it I had to work through a web-based simulator and write up a bunch of simple reports, but that may not be the case now.

Thanks so much for your comment, information and advice . Very encouraging !!
