I've been working at an inpatient psych hospital for a little over 6 months... and with new management, higher patient acuity,staffing issues, etc etc, I have made the decision that it's time for a new job.

I applied for ajob at an outpatient/crisis center in the city, and would like some advice for the interview. What would be a reasonable response as to why I want to leave my current job?

Maybe you could tell them you would like a new challenge?

Tell them you're aspiring to open a new chapter in your life, and a major part of starting anew involves finding a job where you can grow professionally and strive personally.

Also, if this is the job you really want....tell them specifically why you want this particular position.

Tell them that you have always had an interest in this field and would just love to have the opportunity to pursue your goals.
