I had a really great day at congress today, and got a huge haul of freebies. I went to some really interesting seminars, the freebies were the best bit though:
19 black pens
4 note pads
3 highlighters
3 post it pads
3 mugs
3 pencils
2 blue pens
2 keyrings
1 neck chain
1 alcohol hand wash
1 windscreen scarper
1 coaster
1 mini radio
1 mini bottle of Tia Lussio
1 fuzzbug
top nursing tip card
emergency first aid care
and the best bit, the modern matrons phone number and a job application form for a 3 star hospital!!!!!! :)

pass me a mug and key ring.......! I spoke at congress last year (at a fringe meeting) and all the stalls had packed up so I came away empty handed!!
so tell... which hospital?? go for it!!
Karen
sorry the key rings are all spoken for! If you send my your address or work address I'll mail you a mug, I am not sure where I am going to put them all!
anyhow, the matron I was speaking to is from Doncaster and Bassetlaw Hospitals which is where I am from origionaly. and it is a 3 star trust, where as Hull is only a 1 star trust.
I am going home tomorrow and will fill in the form then... fingers crossed, or I could be applying for Macdonalds again!
I think I would rather stay in Hull for a while, as I know some of the policies and the staff but a jobs a job...
Heck I even spoke to someone from S.E.London today,
I had a great day...maybe next year I'll get to go back as a staff nurse?

Could someone tell me what congress is please?
Congress in the UK means the annual conference of the Royal College of Nursing. Earnest debate by day, celebration of nursing by night! Between debates, the delegates visit the exhibition area for freebies and remove anything not screwed down!
Thank you Don.
More power to the party!
