I just graduated from high school and I am really confused about when to apply for the nursing program. Also, do different school's base admission into their nursing programs on different requirements? Somebody please explain this to me.

Yes, different schools base admissions on different requirements. And application deadlines are different for different schools.

The best thing to do is to talk to a counselor at the various schools you are interested in applying to in order to get the best information. I have found this very helpful!! It has saved me from taking classes I do not even need!

By the way, if you post a topic regarding a particular school you may find that many students on the board may share his/her experience in applying to that particular school. Good luck!

i am listing some weblinks for you to explore. they will help educate you about what nurses do and the different kinds of nurses there are. the educational requirements for each type of nurse are different. in general, if you decide to attend a nursing program that is offered by a college you have to apply to and become a matriculated student of the college first before you can apply for their nursing program.
