Concordia University Irvine ASBN Fall 2015

Hey there everyone! I'm new to posting on this site, but have lurked for quite some time now. Is anyone else applying to the CUI ASBN Program for the Fall 2015 cohort? I'm sending out my papers this week! I'm from NYC and I'm really hoping to get in, since I'll be moving to California this summer! Also if anyone has attended the program or is currently in the program, I'd love to hear what you have to say about it - what were your stats, and how is the program?

Thanks for all the information!

I finished the last 50 units of my Bachelor's Degree from an online Christian University. I hope that won't count against me as it is from a regionally accredited school that offers both online and residential programs. I had to finish online because I worked full-time and I don't regret it at all. It was an awesome program and I learned a lot! I hope Concordia accepts online B.S. Degrees!

Has anyone heard that they did NOT get in? I'm still waiting and haven't heard anything. I sent an Email to Henny but haven't heard back :(

Random question... but do you any of you know if there is a Christmas break or even a short summer break/spring break in this program?

Also... I'm kinda nervous for the interview! Wonder what kinds of questions they're gonna ask...

I am in cohort 15, we do have a 2-3 weeks Christmas break. its subject to change because the faculty tries to go with the school calendar.

Hello Everyone!

I will be at the interviews this Friday, I just wanted to ask if you guys think that the interviews will for sure be from 8-12:30 as written on the document sent.

That's good to know! How about a summer vacation?

Also, many of us have our interview this friday... are there any questions you remember from the interview? do they focus more on your academic history/goals, or "what if" in nursing school/you are a nurse or your personality type of questions?

I think the course name was CHEM110C? I can't remember. It was just called, Introduction to Chemistry.

I personally, don't have that much experience. Just worked at an OT/PT clinic as an aide.. My GPA is above 3.5 for cumulative and science pre-reqs. I don't know which Concordia cares about more, since I'm still new to everything and haven't had my interview yet... sorry!

If you google academic calendar for concordia irvine something should pop up! It took me a while to find it. From what I remember we only get two weeks for Christmas. But the calendar only goes up to the week of May 7 so as far as break for summer I'm not sure. Hope this helps! Best of luck to everyone attending interviews this week! I'm sure we will all do great!
