I am in the midst of getting my application ready. Hoping that I can wow the committee with my letter, as my GPA is not as competitive as I would like.
Anyone else planning on applying for Fall?
If Concordia follows the same pattern as previous cohorts. You guys should be getting your invite to interview within the next week or so. We (summer 2012) got ours just about a month after the application deadline, give or take a day or so. Regardless, good luck, it's about to get exciting. Sorry if I increased your nervousness.
Hey guys!
It is getting so close!!! I have a feeling (based on looking at things like CubanRob and what happened with our cohort) you guys will probably be hearing within the week. My guess is the invite email will go out before the holiday. Beesmama, I don't think they send out an actual rejection until the whole process is done, but I am not 100% sure on that. My impression was they sent out the invites and then if they had no-response (you have to confirm your attendance to the interview within a week or so) or a declination (cause someone got into another program, let's say) they they would fill that space with someone else that was "on the bubble." I think that is why they tell you that you will hear by mid-July about the interview... while they send the invites out earlier than that, there is some shifting and sorting that tends to happen between sending the initial invite and the interview dates. So, just cause you don't get an initial invite doesn't necessarily mean you are completely out. That is mostly speculation on my part from what I saw, so take it for what it is worth :)
GOOD LUCK, ALL!!! Just wait, once you get that interview invite, a whole different anxiety sets in :) Like CubanRob said, hopefully you will be able to look back at it like we do and feel like it all went by rather quickly.
Yes, about 80 are interviewed and about 40 are accepted. Everyone I interviewed with was amazing. Each person had great stats and life experience. As soon as I walked in to check in for the interview, I knew as I scanned the room the "competition" would be tough. Don't worry though, everyone was gracious and kind. The staff interviewing us were great.
