Would like to connect with those applying for Summer 2022 ABSN at Concordia Irvine. Hope to interact with those in this cycle!

They are group interviews with about 7-8 other interviewees, held over Zoom and it lasts all day, it was about 4-5 hrs from what I remember then there is an essay at the end.
When you re applied how was rewriting the statement? I have to do that for Spring 2022
Anyone who got accepted - when you take the online theology classes, are they scheduled at a certain time every day or do you do them on your own time but submit things by certain deadlines? The nursing classes that start later in 1st semester, how many days/week are those?
For clinical placements do you have any say in where you go? For ex. I can't go far because I take care of my mom.
Just to add onto what @RNGoal2022 said for clinicals - you don't have a say as to where you're placed, however, it is all subject to change, even up until the day before your clinicals (which kind of sucks but we follow the hospital's rules as we are all guests).
@zxcvb - I had my job for the first semester and then quit starting 2nd, but there are still people who work like 1-2 days a week during the 2nd semester. It's possible, but very difficult.

The theology classes are online and you work on assignments at your own pace but there are due dates.
The first two classes are one day a week each. So you are there two days a week.
As for clinicals you have NO say in where you are placed and they won’t change where you are given.
sooo...they don't foster your interests with clinical places? seems kind of messed up? I also find it odd they don't use Hoag when it's right there & the best hospital in the area...

It's not messed up LOL - everyone in your cohort is grouped into clinical sites and you're all doing the same thing, just different location.
Again, we are only guests - we do not work in the hospital as employees.

Correct, but every other ABSN program I've applied to/gotten into, takes your interests into account when placing you

That's cool. Then maybe the other schools are probably better for you.
In nursing, you def have to be flexible so with that said, we as students can't really change the rules in the book :-).
