Concordia University Irvine ABSN Summer 2021

This will be the thread to discuss the application and interview process for CUI's ABSN program beginning Summer 2021.

Judging by the thread from last year, interview invitations go out in late February, with acceptances being announced at the end of March. There appears to have been a group interview as well as a timed essay component.

Looking forward to hearing from this year's Applicant pool!

I do not believe I am confused. I just saw that Iona college is taking over the the accelerated program will be through them. Is that the case? This is in regards to the NY college

@FutureRn244 hmm... this thread pertains to Concordia University Irvine in Southern California. I don't think this school would be accepting applications for this term if that was the case.

There's also a Concordia University in Oregon that I may have watched all the program videos for before realizing it was in Oregon LOL........always include the city name when you search for a school. Concordia is a common name.

@kmcali Honestly, I think they were just trying to get to know us. Someone may look good on paper but not so great in person. Just be yourself and try not to compare yourself to others (I know it's hard!). Also, it's okay to brag about yourself a little ?  I hate bragging about myself, but they asked what was my greatest accomplishment and I had to brag a little.

Has anyone gotten a rejection or waitlist? I haven’t heard anything yet

I've had some contact regarding my application that wasn't an interview invite or rejection. Hopefully they wouldn't be having me jump through hoops only to turn around and not even interview me.

Interview invites for (3/19) have gone out. Not sure when they make decisions after interviews happen.

I still have not heard anything, I have not received a interview or rejection. Hopefully, they are still sending out interviews.

Hi everyone! I'm new to the thread and have loved reading everyone's responses and replies! Feels like our own little community ?

How is everyone preparing for the interview? I'm in the 3/19 AM group so excited to see some of you there! 

For those that are in the program now, what was the interview like? Does everyone answer the same questions and why is the interview so long?!

Thank you to those who are providing helpful tips about Concordia’s interview ?. My interview is on Saturday, March 20th and I am very excited!
