They may have changed things since I was there (I graduated in August 2013, interviewed May 2012) but expect a group interview. You will be there all day, so be prepared! The faculty are some of the best people around and will make you feel very comfortable. There will be 2 or 3 faculty in each interview and you will be with 5-7 other applicants, all answering the same questions... in front of each other. When I interviewed, they had about 40 the first day and 40 the second day. It is nerve-racking for sure. Just try to see them as your future cohort-mates, not competition and you will be fine. The questions are all over the map, but if you are passionate about becoming a nurse and you know that you are called to be there, you will be just fine. Best of luck!
Yes I just interviewed in April and the above is all correct. For the interview I would definitely say be original. The girls in my group were very nice but very cliche. They would ask like "what is one word that describes a nurse" and the girls would say "caring" or "compassionate". Try to think outside of the box! Yes nurses are caring and compassionate but that's kind of obvious. Just relax and be original! And there is a writing sample during the interview as well. Study the outcomes on the CUI nursing website and you'll do fine.

Hi everybody. I didn't see a thread for the ABSN program for Fall 2014 at Concordia University Irvine so I made one. I sent in my application last week. Is anyone else applying for this program? What are the chances of getting in?
