Concordia NY Fall 2018

Published

Hey all! I was recently admitted to Concordia's Fall 2018 ABSN program and figured I'd start a thread on it, since I haven't noticed one yet. Anyone have any questions? Concerns? Etc?

Thanks for the info! Do you know if the two religion classes are required for all post-bacc nursing students?

Yes, however if previously taken for your first degree you may be exempt.

To answer some questions: Your first two semesters classes are mon-friday, one group of Students may have a fri or thurs off.

The scrubs arent that bad, but get new bottoms if you want.

Clinical placement is random and mon-friday.

You can wear sneakers to clinical/lab, just make sure theyre not over the top with colors. Stick to black/white/grey.

Good luck guys, I'm actually a mentor coordinator and a senior so youll meet me at your first day of school, holla

I have a quick question, on the school website there is an academic calendar-traditional, that says last day of school is December 14, 2018 for the Fall semester.

Does that apply to the ABSN students as well?

Do you recall what was the last day of your first fall semester?

Thanks!

Best not to follow anything listed for non nursing students. According to the Nursing Cohort calendar for the 2017-2018 school year, 12/4 was the beginning of final exams and 12/15 was the last day of fall semester classes. The college reopened on 1/2/18 and the nursing cohort spring semester began 1/8/15.

Thank you, I will take your advice!

Just curious to know. I just registered my classes and I see that there are gaps between 1020 am to 430pm or 6pm, twice a week. Is that accurate? Also, each group will have either Thursday or Friday off for clinical. Does anybody knows how long is the clinical? Thanks I'm advanced
