Concordia College - NY Fall '17 ABSN

Published

Hey ya'll. I just submitted my app last week (on day of deadline) and am complete. Waiting to hear back about interview offer, or lack thereof. This is the only school I applied to because I can get all prereqs done by summer. I have a friend that went to Concordia NY and loved his experience. Anyone else apply or accepted yet? Let's get a 2017 channel going!

My interview was 02/21 and they just updated my student portal today to say admitted! Yay! I was getting worried after not hearing anything for so long. Congrats to everyoneeee!!

I interviewed on 3/21 and as of 3/23 the status on the portal changed to admitted! Yay! Congrats to everyone who was accepted! Did someone end up making a Facebook page? If so, please let me know!

Hey All,

Congrats to everyone that has been accepted thus far. I just created a Facebook group.

Do they interview all applicants?

I don't believe so

Oh okay, I was only asking because I was curious to know if it's generally a good sign or just standard procedure.

What link did you check ?

So if it says "addmitted" online then your accepted ?

@brovie27 Correct. The hard copy letter will be mailed out shortly thereafter.

Congratulations to everyone who has been accepted!

How is everyone paying for the program? I talked to financial aid and they said that the cost of the program per semester is $14,375 for just tuition and the program fee, or $28,750 per year. They also said the maximum amount allowed to take out in loans is $41,900 per year. So even if you take out the maximum amount allowed in loans, that leaves you $13,150 per year to live off of, or $1,096 per month. Out of that $1,096 per month I'll need to pay NY rent, pay for my car, groceries, textbooks, everything, which seems difficult.

I'll be applying to lots of scholarships, of course, but has anyone else been putting thought into this? If so, what are your plans?
