Concordia College - NY Fall '17 ABSN

Hey ya'll. I just submitted my app last week (on day of deadline) and am complete. Waiting to hear back about interview offer, or lack thereof. This is the only school I applied to because I can get all prereqs done by summer. I have a friend that went to Concordia NY and loved his experience. Anyone else apply or accepted yet? Let's get a 2017 channel going!

Ok! Thanks for letting me know! I, like you, submitted my application on the day that it was due and have not heard anything about an interview yet so I am getting a little nervous..especially because it doesn't seem like they are going in order of when the applications were submitted/completed. Hopefully I hear something back soon.

Hi everyone

I just received an email for an interview and applied about a week or so before the February 1 deadline. I am very nervous/anxious and haven't gotten my exact time for the interview yet just said what days would work for me. If you guys could come back and let us know how your interview was after the fact and give any pointers that would be awesome! Good luck everyone

Heyy there, my appointment time was 12:00pm and I was back in my car on the way home by 12:30. I wasn't able to meet any students but I met a few faculty members and got a tour of the labs and classrooms.

@brovie27, Not at all, she mainly just wanted to know why nursing and why now. Other than that she spoke about how serious the program was and wanted to make sure I was committed to the program.

How was the interview? What did they ask you?

Had my interview as well. It was short (about 30 min) - went over my academic background, why nursing, why nursing now; toured the facility and was on my way! Judging from the conversation, it seems like the school is very supportive and wants everyone to succeed but they also re-iterate how challenging the program is. Sounds like students drive in from everywhere or small number live on campus.

My interview isn't for another two weeks now, so I think it's gonna be a while till we hear anything í ½í¸«
