  1. Terilyn, LOL no. now it is 2 personal statement, 2 video essay questions AND 1 timed written essay. I guess they are making it harder and harder. I really appreciate your helpful tips!
  2. Thank you so so much for your help!! They might add one more question to the video essay, their website says " TWO video essay questions". but Thank God! they will give us the prompt. one more question. I assume there is no interview right? I heard the video and other essay part are like a replacement for interview process. and is there a spelling check function which a word underlines in red within the application?
  3. Hi All, I am going to apply to the BS-DNP PMHNP program for 2022. The amount of required materials including personal statements, essays etc. is really overwhelming and I am super worried about the video essays and written essay part since it will be happening live!! I did some research and there was 1 video essay question in 2018 but now 2 essays... Could anyone here kindly share what kind of questions were asked in 2021? Please HELP...
  4. One thing I want to tell you is TAKE CARE OF YOUR SELF. Don't think about other people or you let them down or how they will think about you for not returning. You feel unsafe working there. YOU feel unsafe. you feel burned out, YOU are burned out PERIOD. take a break and then come back to nursing. that is OK. Take care.
  5. Hi fellow nurses, I am looking for info about hospitals in LA or near by where reimburse 100 % of tuition for NP school, if any. I am currently working in NYC and planning to move to LA and to go to NP school in a couple years. I would very much appreciate if anyone could share info/experience about this! Thank you so so much <3
  6. Thank you so much!!! actually my hospital offers a STABLE course. Do you think I should take it even though I don't work in that area? or ACLS and 12 EKG course is enough?
  7. Thank you so much for the encouragement!! I am preparing and training myself to become a competent ICU nurse as much as I can now at my position! Good luck on your new journey.
  8. Thank you so much for the helpful comment! Is there other ways to take some training courses that the hospital I work at does not offer?
  9. Hi all, I am working in med/surge, I am going to apply CVICU at a teaching hospital where they offer a fellowship/training program. So they don't required candidates to have prior ICU experience, but have to have direct patient care. It has been only 4 months since I started working in med/surge as a new grad so after getting 1 year experience I will apply apply apply!! In the "preferred qualification" section on the hospital website,"Based on position, one or more of the following courses including STABLE, smoking cessation counseling, basic critical care, or other specialty training courses preferred." My question is, as a med/surge nurse, am I qualified to take STABLE, basic critical care training courses???? and if so, where can I ? I am trying to do every possible things I can possibly do to make myself more competitive and get into CVICU. I will appreciate any suggestions or thoughts!!
  10. Thank you for the detailed explanation!
  11. Thank you for the info!
  12. Hello all, I am a student nurse who is gonna become a CRNA in 5years (I hope)!. I recently heard about Anesthesiologist Assistants(AAs). I honestly did not know anything about AAs before. I did some research on CRNAs vs. AAs, and I have figured what the differences are btw the two professions. Anyone has worked/ or is working with AAs at work? My understanding(from online research) is that they have a very similar scope of work? I am wondering how these 2 similar professions work together in reality if they do, and how is the experiences as a CRNA working with AAs.
  13. Thank you for the info. I think I saw what you are talking about when I register my class. I will figure it out! It does not have to be nursing related classes to bump up gpa for a crna school?
  14. Thank you! How do you take grad level course without being admitting to college?
  15. Hi guys, My question is that can a nursing class can be retaken after graduation. My gpa is ok in nursing school but I want to increase it for a CRNA school in the future. I was told that gpa for crna school should be above 3.6. I am graduating in this Jan and I know I cant graduate with 3.6 Is there any way to retake some class (that dont need clinicals or labs) after gradutaing nursing school? Is it possible maybe some online class?
