Concept Maps

I dislike them. Strongly.

Just had to get that off my chest.

They are time-consuming! And repetitive. I'm doing one now for Foundations. Anyone want to critique it? :)

When I said it was useful, it was done for my understanding. not for someone else because of their grading criteria.

there is a great program you should buy it is called delmars care plans it is amazing and makes concept maps and linear care plans a whiz it even gives you the rationale. There is another one I think by gulanick or something that is pretty good but i like delmars bc it came with a cd you could copy and paste if you really wanted or you could use the book and look up the diagnosis then it would give you suggestions from there.

I absolutely hate them as well. If I never have to see another concept map or IPR again after May, I will be the happiest person ever!

I appreciate and value your attitude regarding concept mapping! I think most people don't think of concept mapping as a valuable study tool because it requires extra work on their part!

We really only use them in the clinical setting and I love them. It just brings everything together, focuses you on your assessments, and keeps you on track for the day.

Doing them is hash and when one instructor wants them done differently than the other instructor it is a pain but overall, very valuable.
