Hello everyone! i am going to take NCLEX RN in a few weeks, i am studying doing questions and rationales using Comprenhensive Review for NCLEX-RN by Mary Ann Hogan 2008 by Pearson Education. I heard that these questions are same style question to actual NCLEX RN exam since they are created by Pearson, is that true? I also did Kaplan and Saunders. Please advice.
Thanks

I didn't use the Hogan Review book, but our nursing instructor used it for her remediation courses for students struggling with our exit HESI tests. She thought that the topics Hogan covered reflected the NCLEX better than the others. I just took the NCLEX-RN on Friday, and I too used Kaplan and Saunders. I thought that Kaplan did a good job preparing me for really thinking through the questions. However, I felt that the Saunders questions were too easy compared to the questions I received on NCLEX and the topics were not the popular ones I was expecting. Our nursing program advised us to get a comprehensive review book and if I would have learned about the Hogan book, I most likely would have purchased that one first. Hope this helps.

Hogan was my primary NCLEX review book and I can say that this book helped me tremendously. I had other books that I used such as Saunders, Exam Cram, Hurst, but only used these if I needed clarification or further explanation. For me, Hogan was "to the point" and the format was perfect for my learning. Here's my story: https://allnurses.com/nclex-discussion-forum/18-yrs-post-803371.html.
Good luck and all the best to you and your studies!

Don't stress yourself, your are doing good. You gonna be an RN in 3 days. The day before the test don't do anything just relax and meditate.
