Complications from HCG injections?

Hi!

Has anyone had HCG/B12 injections for weight loss? And if so, have you had any complications from it? One of the adverse reactions is hyperstimulation of the ovaries, ovarian cyst, and rupture of a cyst.

Or have you taken care of a patient who's had any of these type complications from HCG injections??

I'm considering having them, as I've heard several people say their weight loss was significantly faster than dieting alone.

Any comments are appreciated.

hi all. your posts have been really helpful. i would love to hear more opinions or facts from your experiences/research. i am very intrigued about this diet (hcg w/ b12) & i'm interested in trying it out.

however, i am only 25 & don't have kids yet so i need to make sure this won't jeopardize conceiving in the future. also, i have had benign ovarian cysts in the past (birth control shrunk & made them disappear) so another concern is if hcg can affect that or make them grow etc.

I haven't tried it yet - but my friend just ended her second round. She has lost a total of 55 pounds (both rounds) and had kept the initial weight from the first round (29) off for a year. She said that she felt great after the first 3 days.

There has been research done that shows its really not the HCG. Anyone who restricts themselves to 500 cal a day is going to lose weight. There is a reason they tell you no vigorous excercise. It is because you would pass out. I tried it with the drops and it worked.....I also tried to 500 calorie diet without the drops and that worked just as well.

I too tried both. With the hcg my hunger was much better. Also with the hcg I didn't lose weight in my boobs-which is the first place I lost it without the hcg-weird!

It would make sense considering hcg is a pregnancy hormone
