Community College of Rhode Island - Nursing Program: Spring 2014 @ Newport Campus

U.S.A. Rhode Island

I was looking to see who else applied for the nursing program at the Newport Campus for Spring of 2014?

Hopefully only 32 of us :) one girl applied with 150 points :/ hopefully not too many people are that high lol

Right?! We'll see ... it's definitely a learning experience for me! Just being on this website & reading everyone's posts helped me out a lot! If I don't get accepted this time around, maybe I should apply for a bigger campus?! I applied to Newport, figuring that most people wouldn't want to drive over the bridge. I'm definitely keeping my fingers crossed!

Hopefully, in the next week, we'll have our answer! I'm figuring the first or second week of October. Good luck. =)

It wasn't until I started following this thread & registered on AllNurses just recently that I could check to see if it was pulled! I've definitely learned more from all of you then asking students on campus. Thank you & good luck to you all!

- Congratulations to all of you who got in! For those of you who didn't, don't give up! I spent this summer re-taking any of the classes I had a "B" in! It was very stressful & at times, I felt hopeless because I felt like I was already a great student, but never good enough! When I received my acceptance letter for Spring '14, I cried! I'm still so nervous about everything, just wondering what the next step will be?! Thank you all for your help & I look forward to meeting all of my Newport classmates this spring!

- Congratulations on your acceptance! See you in the spring!

It's so exciting :down:now to study dosage

- Right?! Math is definitely a weakness of mine.

- Once our background check comes in, we don't have to forward the results or anything to CCRI, right? I would think that the college would just use the codes they assigned us, in order to see our results?

- I don't know when we'll receive our "acceptance" letters?! Don't we have to do vaccinations to be to meet the criteria, in order to receive an acceptance letter or orientation invitation?

Vaccines are needed prior to clinicals I believe. I think we get a packet in November with more info
