Great news:  A "Nurse Licensure Compact" bill just passed in both chambers of the Rhode Island State Legislature. I was not expecting this to happen. All of the legislators who voted  supported this bill. Apparently there is a nursing shortage in Rhode Island. The bill should be ready for the Governor's signature soon.

Rhode Island has just become the 39th state to join the Nurse Licensure Compact. Implementation is pending.
