Trying to come up with a common ER med list to help better orient new staff....Any lists / suggestions/ special tips/ hints would be a great help to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:wink2:

And don't forget the med most pts take before coming to the ER (esp when c/o fever) - nothing...

Are you sure it's not VA? Vancuronium, long term paralytic
Or it could be ativan as a precursor to the succs

Perhaps they meant Amidate, another name for Etomidate.

Holy Jesus you people need to learn to spell the names of these drugs if you're going to be giving them.

My pet peeve....that is why pharmacology needs to be in all nursing programs. But the thread is 6 years old.
Hell, the worst person I've encountered for spelling and pronunciation of drugs was my nursing pharmacology instructor. Meta-pro-awl is not a beta blocker.
