The attitude that we are poor, downtrodden, and helpless victims of the evil and all powerful administration is

OLD, TIRED, AND PATHETIC!!!

We are better than that and we can do better. Wake up guys.

I agree, arming ourselves in a professional manner and quit being helpless, would help our goals be accomplished a great deal. Waiting for someone to come in and tell you how it should be? Well tell me feeling helpless is the way I want to spend the rest of my nursing carreer. NO WAY...

I never knew there was an ANA until I read it on these boards. Why arent nurses just part of the AMA?

Doctors practice medicine, thus the American Medical Association (AMA), Nurses practice nursing, thus the American Nursing Association (ANA). Put it all together and it is healthcare, not just medical care.
