Anyone else working Full time while schooling FT?! I'm gonna try it until I can't. Then maybe take it down to part time. My coworker did the psych NP Program working FT too, and she got through it!

I'll be working full time. One of my coworkers is I. The psych DNP program and he says working full time is doable.

Congratulations Everyone! I got in Columbia DNP Adult-Gero Acute Care and Johns Hopkins. I has accepted Hopkins already but now I am so undecided. Anyone else in a similar situation? I would love to connect with some of you!

Hello Constance,

First and foremost, allow me to extend my heartfelt congratulations on your acceptance into Johns Hopkins and Columbia. Your achievement is truly commendable, and I wanted to take a moment to share some insights that might aid in your decision-making process.

As a current student enrolled in Johns Hopkins' direct entry MSN program, I can attest firsthand to the exceptional caliber of education and support the institution provides. Ranked as the premier DNP program, Johns Hopkins embodies organizational excellence and operates within a world-class facility. Personally, I consider myself fortunate to be part of the Hopkins nursing community and eagerly anticipate commencing their esteemed DNP program this coming Fall. Furthermore, I must emphasize the remarkable scholarship opportunities available, which undoubtedly contribute to the overall appeal of attending Johns Hopkins.

Now, allow me to offer a candid perspective regarding another esteemed institution, Columbia University. While my aspirations initially leaned towards Columbia, recent revelations from acquaintances currently enrolled in Columbia's DNP program have given me pause for thought. Their firsthand experiences highlight significant organizational challenges within the program, which have unfortunately detracted from the overall learning environment. Though it's essential to acknowledge that these are personal accounts and not universal truths, they warrant consideration nonetheless.

In contemplating your decision, it's crucial to weigh various factors, including geographical preference. Undeniably, the allure of returning to New York City after a prolonged absence can be compelling, as was the case for me. However, it's imperative to balance this desire with the realities of each institution's academic environment and the potential challenges one might encounter.

Ultimately, my intention in sharing these reflections is not to dissuade you from pursuing your aspirations but rather to equip you with valuable insights to inform your decision. Each individual's journey is unique, and what holds true for one may not necessarily apply to another.

As I embark on my own academic journey at Johns Hopkins, I wish you all the best in your decision-making process and subsequent endeavors. Should you have any further questions or require additional information, please don't hesitate to reach out.

I'm not sure why the link works for some and not others! If you provide your email, I can email it to you.

Has anyone gotten their financial aid offer yet?
