Hi everyone!
First of all, I would like to congratulate everyone who has been accepted into the next starting cohort for this program!
I am starting this super early because I have already begun to freak out lol.
Is anyone applying for the MDE MDE/DNP or MDE/PHD program for 2017?
This is my dream program !!
I am prepping for the GRE at this point which I am taking in August. It has been a long arduous road for me to say the least and I am ready to send my app off with a prayer. Any advice from current/previous students of this program or applicants welcome! And to my fellow applicants what other programs are you applying to? And most importantly good luck to everyone. The application opens August of 2016

How's the program? Is it hard/intense? Are there tutors to help you if you are falling behind? Do they give extra credits on exams and has anyone failed the program?
I wana apply but I wanna know what it is like there. Also what are professors like? Do they teach or is it like a self taught kind of thing?
Hello All!!I am a current MDE student and in full swing! If anyone has any questions about the program they want answered feel free to post them because I know how anxious/crazy the application process was especially if you're applying to as many programs as I did haha.
As for the GRE, because I see a few posts about scores, they are not strict on them. I had a rough run and scored in the upper 40th/lower 50th percentiles and was accepted. They really take a holistic view of your application! There are students of all ages with all kinds of background in my cohort which makes things interesting.

@laphy_b did you end up applying. I have a friend who just graduated from the mde portion and is doing the dnp.. she said the classes are big at first but then narrow down. The professors actually care for the students (from what I heard) but they really prepare you for the nclex which is good especially if we are spending all this money lol
Hi everyone,
I applied to the MDE program for 2018, but am reaching out to the 2017 thread in hopes of getting some feedback from current MDE students. I'm wondering what the second summer of the program is like? I know you haven't gotten there yet, but my understanding is that in the spring you'll do your integrations, then for the second summer, the presentation said 'class dates and times vary'. Any insight you have is appreciated. I'm an over-planner and am just curious as to what that summer entails. Thank you!

Thank you for all of your help and congrats on your admission! If you don't mind sharing, what was your GPA and GRE score? I also completely understand if you'd rather not share.
