I am starting this super early because I have already begun to freak out lol.
Is anyone applying for the MDE MDE/DNP or MDE/PHD program for 2017?
This is my dream program !!
I am prepping for the GRE at this point which I am taking in August. It has been a long arduous road for me to say the least and I am ready to send my app off with a prayer. Any advice from current/previous students of this program or applicants welcome! And to my fellow applicants what other programs are you applying to? And most importantly good luck to everyone. The application opens August of 2016
I got an email yesterday with the timeline, clarifying that the initial review can take a long time -- you all probably got it too. My initial application went in at the beginning of September, so that is probably why my notification came fairly quickly. The email mentioned that we can update our resumes until January 9th. Good to know! I'm about to finish up another pre-req, and will upload that information too.
I'm glad at least that they claim we will hear back in early February! I was thinking late Feb. At least that cuts off a couple of weeks.
Me too! I think in previous years they have said "by February 15," and it's ended up being early February. Wouldn't it be great if it were mid January instead? Not holding my breath.
I submitted my application October 17th also, but did not hear back from them. And my GRE is still not updated in the system, which they explained will take a long time because it is being manually entered.
Did everyone receive the email about financial aid today? It states FAFSA is due Dec 23. That is incredibly early, not only for Columbia, but for schools in general. I won't have any of my tax information summarized by then. I guess I will have to take an educated guess of what my husband an I made this year haha.
In past years FAFSA was due by Feb 15. Anyone else find this odd?
I, too, received this e-mail. I won't know what my tax information is until sometime in January at the earliest. Maybe we can complete it with last year's tax information?
The process changed this year and they started started accepting 2017 FAFSAs much earlier! They're using the previous year's tax information so, your 2017 FAFSA eligibility will be based on your 2015 tax information. It used to be due later to allow folks to get their taxes in some kind of order before submitting.
This might be a bit of a stretch but did anyone else apply to UPenn for FNP and got an interview? I haven't found a UPenn thread and have slightly been freaking out because they said they would reach out last week to schedule the interview and I still haven't heard anything yet... and also they are terrible at responding to everything so I'm just in the dark. The fear of having slipped through the cracks is real haha. If anyone else is in the same position let me know!
