Columbia University MDE/DNP - Summer 2026

Published

Did a search and haven't seen this thread yet. Thought I would get it going! Submitted my application November 4th and now just waiting to hear back.

Does anyone know what date people started hearing back last year? For most schools I'm applying to, it's the Thursday/Friday before Christmas.

Nope. I've scoured the internet. Not sure if the deadlines were the same last year, but I couldn't find anything.

I hope I'm wrong but I just don't see decisions posted before January. I'm surprised as the upcoming cap on fed student loans is coming in 2026. I would think that Columbia would want to secure enrollments as soon as possible to give students adequate time to get their finances in order. The new legislation will undoubtedly result in lower enrollments which will impact their bottom line.

I like being referred to as "the legend" hahaha (though the more apt description was the neurotic SamIAm26 who has scoured every inch of that page for a hint on when decisions may be released 😂

I'm thinking Friday. (Based on absolutely nothing but a sheer hope for a holiday present from Columbia 😆

I would do the same as you haha.  I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say that it would be awesome to have as much time before the start of the next semesters to prepare for this next chapter in our journeys (regardless of which uni we all ultimately end up at).

Officially 6 weeks since I submitted.... I need to know 😬

When is it appropriate to reach back out for an update LOL?

Girl... I emailed them 1 hour ago asking for a tighter range.

I don't think they mean 4-6 weeks from submission.  I think it is 4-6 weeks from the priority deadline (11/17). That would put us at 4 weeks as of yesterday. That said, can't hurt to reach out, it's their own fault for being so vague. LOL

Their timeline email was so confusing but that makes sense too. Ugh. I was really hoping it was 4 to 6 weeks form time submitted.

Yeah I applied before the priority deadline and haven't heard back anything. Really anxious to find out, though!

The verbiage is so murky... it's the "in the order they are received" that makes it confusing

"As a reminder, applications submitted by the priority deadline will be reviewed in the order they are received, with the committee typically completing its review within 4–6 weeks.”

Agreed it is so murky which is so darn frustrating.  I fear that the language means they will review applications in the order they are received once the priority deadline closes.
