Columbia MDE 2022

Published

I know the application hasn't opened yet, but wondering if there was anyone else thinking of applying to Columbia MDE/DNP programs for June 2022 entry?

Will likely be Thursday or Friday they have never released a decision on a Wednesday.

I hope it’s today I don’t want to wait anymore

I’m fantasizing we’ll hear in the next two hours so that I don’t have to show up to the first day of a science lab this afternoon, but seems unlikely ?

You may very well be right but I’m not placing too much credence in past dates at this point!

I  found a ladybug so I thought today would the day. I guess I’ll just put it back where I found it then ??

I saw their 130 years instagram post this morning, and I was like maybe today is the day, because 130 uses all of my lucky numbers hahaha weird but my mind is everywhere at this point

LOL, the irony that their delayed decisions has caused us to abandon scientific reasoning and instead rely on tarot, numerology, magical thinking, etc.

Today is 2/2/22 which means good luck and prosperity. Maybe they will release it at 2:22 pm ??

The Amount of wishing stars I have wished at this point is concerning.

When is the dead lines for those schools?  Yes I only applied to Columbia. I’m currently a hygienist and did my undergrad at NYU. Columbia is my school of choice. I was not interested in other programs due to the fact that most want you to gain experience working as an RN before advancing into a NP/DNP degree. For me… I have no interest in other areas of nursing. I’m fully invested in derm and aesthetics which is all learned after licensure anyway so this is my ideal program and a great school to acquire the appropriate credentials. ?

I am also interested in aesthetic and derm. I was nervous applying with that being my main interest in nursing!

Hahaha, I have been seeing lots of repeating numbers lately! Good luck to everyone!

Hi All! Just wanted to say hi and wish everyone luck!

I applied to the MDE program the past 3 years: 2020 (waitlisted, COVID happened and they decided not to take anyone from the waitlist), 2021 (rejected) and here I am in 2022, hopeful as ever!

I think we'll hear back this week, fingers crossed!

Do you mind if I ask what you did to strengthen your application for re-applying? I'm so nervous!

Sure!

So the first time I didn't know what to expect, I attended an open house in about a month or so before the applications were due and hadn't done any of the prerequisites, I was encouraged to apply despite that so I did. By the time the application was due, I had only completed 1 course.

This time around, I completed all my prerequisites and did some volunteer work.

I have a BS in Forensic Psychology, MS in Human Services, 3.9 GPA.
