Columbia BSN/MSN ETP 2014

Published

I was surprised that there didn't seem to be a thread for this year's applicants to Columbia's ETP program. So I thought I would start one. The information session was today, but I wasn't able to go. :( I was hoping someone else went and would be able to post any admission statistics or tips for the personal statement they gave.

@wellthen I was JUST thinking about doing that haha. Really everyone in this thread has been so wonderful during this process. I am sending positive vibes to everyone

for those of you who got in, have you been provided a deadline for when you need to accept/reject / make your decision? also, do they give you any info/insights that you would be willing to share? i'm on the waitlist, and wanna know anything and everything i can! thanks!

Visiting day is March 7th. $500 deposit due by March 21st. They said more info to be sent in a separate email. I think those on the wait list should stay hopeful, surely not all who are accepted will attend.

When do classes start?

are we class of 2016?

Congratulations to everyone who just found out they were accepted to the program! To everyone who was waitlisted, congratulations to you too and keep a little bit of hope. I was offered a spot from the waitlist on May 8th and now I'm in the current ETP class. You never know what will happen.

First day of classes is May 28th. Yikes, feels so soon!

Specializes in Pediatric CICU.

Accepted for the nurse anesthesia program! Congratulations to everyone! Does anyone know when we will be hearing about financial aid?

I just emailed the financial aid office and will hopefully hear from them soon (which will most likely be early next week as its 4pm on a Friday!)

I spoke with someone in Financial Aid a few weeks ago. She said if your FAFSA is submitted by February 15th you will receive your package by March 15th (in their first mailing).

I'm from California. Still waiting to hear from Yale, UCSF and Vandy. Columbia starts so soon. I don't know if I can get it together and move out there by May lol. But if I don't get in anywhere else, I am very grateful and excited. I do have family in NYC and a friend I can stay with in Queens.

mentalhealthadvocate,

when was your Yale interview? After the orientation day I fell head over heels in love and hope that they accept me but getting into Columbia is really amazing! And yes the Columbia program starts sooo fast

I hear UCSF is great but is quite difficult to get into, do they interview there?
