Colorado New Grad BSN pay?

U.S.A. Colorado

I used to live in Aurora, CO years before and moved to Kansas and am now studying nursing. I graduate from nursing school next August (2020) and I am very determined to move back to Colorado and apply to new grad residencies/jobs in Aurora/Denver area. I've been hearing that nurse pay in Colorado is really low. What do you nurses in Colorado think about the salary/getting into new grad residencies in CO? Is it worth it in relation to cost of living?

I've heard somewhere between 24.50 and 27.50 at the hospital starting out with nursing homes paying more like 30/hr.

The pay doesn't sound bad until you compare it to the cost of living. It's getting very expensive in the Denver and Colorado Springs areas. But it might be doable for you on a starting salary if you don't have kids and a bigger home because of it. The median cost of a home in Denver is something like $425k now. $300k in the Springs, so maybe more doable a little farther south.

I work at Centura Health and I know for a fact that some of our new grads start at $28 - $30/hr.

My friend is starting at centura this Summer and her starting pay is $28 as a new grad ?
