I applied to Collin College for Fall 2012 just want to see who else is in the waiting boat? I have 15/16 points, 4.0 pre-reqs, 3.8 overall GPA, got 5/6 on PSB, wasn't too happy about it. I am really stressing about it, one minute I think I will get in for sure, another minute I am trying to figure out my Plan B, in case I don't. And honestly I haven't come up with anything so far
I am also applying to Grayson but Collin is my number one pick, besides the fact they have excellent program the schools is 15mins away from me. Grayson, on the other hand, is about 1 hour away
Good Luck to everyone who applied.

I know orientation is in a few days but for anyone interested...you can now view Fall 2012 classes on cougarweb to see what our schedule will be like. Although I know its going to be very hard I was surprised that the schedule was not that bad (I am sure that will be made up in study time though)! The only thing you wont know for sure is the clinical since there is a combination of three different times/days for the clinicals. I also checked just out of curiosity semester 2 and 3 classes and the schedule is similar to semester 1 except the clinicals are longer. See everyone soon!
Definitely don't let what the schedule looks like on paper influence whether to have full time child care and the like. The "open lab day" really isn't optional and your day off between lecture and clinicals will be very very full with doing your care plans, reading, studying, group projects and the like. Congratulations to all of you and best of luck as you get started. It is an intense two years but very worth it.
Great to meet you too JustB!!! Were you by any chance in Micro last semester at Preston campus in the evening? Just thought I recognized you from there (if you were the one that came in late---sooo exciting by the way!)
Anyway, just wanted to say that I got all 10 books on Amazon last night for about $550. Most were new but there were a few used ones. I thought it would be way more so I was excited about that. Also ordered my uniform (I got two because I tend to stain clothes :-))
Very excited about meeting some new people and starting a new adventure!!
Yes, I sure did take Micro @ PrestonRidge in the evening! I really enjoyed that class too. :)
Thanks for the info on the books. $550 is not bad at all...what a relief actually! I'll have to give Amazon a go as well. I was a bit nervous when we were told all 10 books were at least $140 each. Yikes!
Hey Everyone,
Nursing School 10 is not cool with me!!!! I emailed the Director to get a list of everyone's email but havent heard back yet since its the weekend...anyway I am going to get a group together to work out 1-2 times a week over the summer. Might just be walking in a park or around campus but we can figure that out once we all get togther. It will be a good time to get to know one another and also work out a schedule that we can hopefully keep up once school starts. Anyway I figured I would let everyone on allnurses know now but hopefully once I can get everyone's email I can make it more formal. If you are interested in joining so we can work off the weight we will be gaining come August shoot me an email with your name and number. [email protected] It was so good to meet a lot of you and hopefully I can meet a few more of you over the summer!
I thought that was you! I was one of the bunnies :-) (I am sure you remember lol)You should definitely check out Amazon. I was happy that the total came in that low. Now, I will probably be getting books at my door for several weeks, but who cares :-)
The bunnies! Yes, how could one forget the bunnies?! :)

I handed mine in at the nursing office but I am sure if they didnt recieve it they probably called just to verify. I would just call up there...I do that for almost everything because I am paranoid
