I recently applied to the nursing program for Spring 2013 but have not been a student at Collin College. I have heard numerous things about how you get accepted, the importance of the PSB score, whether or not you have a degree, etc. Anybody out there in the same boat as me? Wondering what's true and what isn't? I was also told we should get letters in the mail some time around September 11 either being accepted or rejected. True?
Any knowledge on this would be great!
Pepper35 did you get your letter today? I called and they verified my address and said they had sent a letter... fingers & toes crossed that it comes tomorrow. I don't think I can stand much more waiting!
Rebekahmae19... I wonder if the wait list situation changed with the new director taking over, meaning perhaps everyone isn't automatically wait listed anymore. I would make them change my points to 14 maybe then you would be at the top of the wait list!
I graduated from Collin May 2011. There are multiple tie-breakers in cases of ties.
For those freaking out about the mail - the nursing dept has to mail items through the college. All letters are routed from all campuses to the Spring Creek Campus, then mailed out. That may be why it's taking some time.
It's hard, and I was there once too, but be patient. The letters will come. Good luck.

So sorry girl! You're on the waiting list though, right?
