Collin College Fall 2020 Application

Published

Hi guys, I was planning on applying to the summer term at Collin, but at the most recent nursing info session, Ms. Rangel noted that they are getting rid of the summer term. Another change being implemented is they're doing away with the PSB and now incoming students must take the TEAS. So, that changes a lot for me. I missed the deadline to apply for the spring term as all the PSB slots were full, but I would have been applying with micro in progress as that's what I'm taking in the fall term. Anyone else planning on applying for Fall 2020?

Yes, I did and I was accepted!!

My stats:

Prereq GPA- 4.0 (no repeats)

PSB:

VE: 84

AR: 61

NE: 94

AA: 85

SP: 75

RC: 79

INS: 82

VAI: 37

I don’t think the PSB was weighed as heavily as years past, since they are not using it going forward. Hope that helps and makes you feel better! Good luck!

Congrats and yes I do feel better THANK YOU!

I believe it goes to Ms.Rangel. I would go up to the school and hand deliver it to her. The hospital I work for made me sign it there and they said they would give it to her.

If you are applying through HCA, you might not get a letter. My little sister applied through HCA and she didn’t get a letter but was told by the liaison that she was accepted. If this is your case, maybe reach out to your contact. Good luck!

Does anyone know what our schedule is going to look like now that it's a two year program? The information session I went to was before the announced the changes.

Its 2 years not 16 months??????

Yes, there is not a summer semester anymore. I think it will still be Monday through Thursday.

Has anybody received an email to do the background check yet? I followed the cohort sheet and filled out the information form out last week but I still haven’t received anything. I’ve checked my junk mail too. I just want to make sure I don’t miss anything.
