Hi guys, I was planning on applying to the summer term at Collin, but at the most recent nursing info session, Ms. Rangel noted that they are getting rid of the summer term. Another change being implemented is they're doing away with the PSB and now incoming students must take the TEAS. So, that changes a lot for me. I missed the deadline to apply for the spring term as all the PSB slots were full, but I would have been applying with micro in progress as that's what I'm taking in the fall term. Anyone else planning on applying for Fall 2020?

My science and pre req GPA is 4.0 and my PSB scores are pretty good so I still applied for spring. I am anxiously waiting on a letter but I see all these other people with really good GPAs getting rejected and it is discouraging. I have a plan B and I am at peace with that path if I'm not accepted for spring but fingers crossed for us all! I really wish getting into nursing was not so competitive as we all just desire to better the health and lives of others! Good luck everyone!
I know, reading threads from previous terms stresses me out. This wait is going to kill me, I just want to know!! Good luck to you as well!
To help ease your troubles, I graduated May 2019 and I got accepted my first time applying with stats similar to yours, 4.0 core classes gpa and a 2.9 overall. Rough start initially. For ADN program they only look at your core classes gpa. On paper you are a very competitive applicant. Good luck!

Thank you for posting this! I’m sure it makes a lot of us feel better. Did you have retake any of your classes? Or know anyone in the program that did? I retook a/p and it’s making me really nervous.

No and the wait is killing me! I just need to know what my next steps are either way. I hope we get them this week! On other posts, people said they got theirs early like 3-4 weeks after the deadline. That would be awesome! Good luck ?

I know! Last year for spring 2019 it looks like they got their letters the last week of September! I really hope it is this week. Best of luck to you too!
Hey guys,
I called the Nursing department today to see if letters have gone out yet. The secretary said they won’t be sent for another week to two weeks ??!! She said we should receive our letters by mid October. Hoping they are sent sooner but.. relaying the message!
Good luck everyone!
